It is a blessing to be serving at Temple Beth Am this year. People here are so warm and welcoming! With its outstanding Religious School, its large and active youth group, its energetic Sisterhood and Brotherhood, its engaged committees such as Caring Community, and a lay leadership second to none in dedication, Beth Am is well poised for a vibrant future! As an Interim Rabbi, my first priority is to be your Rabbi, there for you, current and prospective members, in all the ways a spiritual leader should be, providing all the clergy presence you have come to expect and deserve. During our time together, we will celebrate and sanctify the joyous times and to stand together during the difficult times of illness, heartbreak, and loss. This will be a time of introspection, growth, visioning, experimentation, engagement, and an opportunity to hear voices that have yet to be heard. We welcome all to experience Temple Beth Am. A Message from The President of Temple Beth Am- Howard Schwartz As President of Temple Beth Am I want to welcome you. I have been a lifelong member of Temple Beth Am celebrating numerous simchas such as my Bar Mitzvah, wedding, my wife becoming an adult B’nei Mitzvah and my children becoming a Bar and Bat Mitzvah. Temple Beth Am has become a very integral part of my life and now, as President, it is my time to give back to the community that I love. We are a community of over 300 families that not only envelop the traditional values of Judaism but are progressive in our thinking and teaching. Our youth are important to us for they are the future of Judaism. We believe in engaging our youth through Tfilah (prayer), participation and Tikkun O’Lam (repairing the world). We offer weekly Shabbat services, adult education, social events and so much more. We have a full calendar of happenings and are always interested in hearing your ideas for new programs and events. Our wonderful volunteers bring energy and dedication to all that they do and we are very grateful to have them. It is my hope that you will come join us at Temple Beth Am. Once you walk through the doors you will see the warm and welcoming community that is Temple Beth Am and why it is so special to me and all its members.
